stuck on wood, I need some assistance with this ....

The variable secret has been defined in two places. Remove the line

let secret;

after the alert and it should work. The keyword let will not allow you to redefine a variable.

As Michael explained you have declared secret twice. The only time you can do this is if your declaring a new variable with the same name in a function.
