Hi Matthew,

I'm not quite sure what you mean here.

You can apply backgrounds to any element, including the root element and just add content to the element in the usual way.

<div class = "img-background">
     <p>Content goes here</p>
     <!-- more content  --->
</div>

.img-background {
  background: url('path/to/background.img);
  display: block;
}
