Stuck with instance method

Not sure what is breaking the run_lap method. Please review what must be fixed. Thanks.

racecar.py 
class RaceCar:

    laps = 0

    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining

        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)

    def run_lap(self, length):
        self.laps += 1
        self.fuel_remaining -= length * 0.125

        return fuel_gauge

Why are you using the statement "return fuel_gauge" at the end of your run_lap function? There are no instructions in the objective that I could see that indicated you needed to return anything.
