You forgot some tags. style tag must be located in the head section.

Example:

<head>
<style>
  h1{
    color:yellow;
  }
</style>
</head>
<body>
    <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
</body>

Thanks!!got it..

I think they want the style tag just above h1, not above body. There might also be a problem with color: yellow. In the instructions it says make color green.

<body>
  <style>
    h1  {
    color: green;
    }
  </style>
    <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
</body>
