stylesheet

im pretty sure i followed this course from start but I have not heard what a stylesheet is and what it does

I'm not sure if that is your doubt but:

When stylesheet is mentioned it is the same as CSS, it goes for Cascade Style Sheet. It is used to personalize and design the webpage features in a "cascade" style. It's used to define the most common characteristics of a webpage such as a font family, size, colour, background and so on... It can even be used to create animations inside of it as well. but nowadays there are way simpler ways of doing it with JavaScript for the matter of the animations. Yet it might be useful in case the web browser is not allowed to read JS.
