WordPress

Subdomain for website on my portfolio web design site.

Hey guys! I wanted to know is it okay to make a sample site on a subdomain? I don't have any clients yet and I'm still working on developing my portfolio and creating websites for it. Also. I'm using cpanel and when I create websites, the subdomain is befor my main domain e.g. www.blog.domain.com and I don't want it that way. Is there a way to rearrange the subdomain and my main dmain name?

Hi Shante,

Subdomains will appear before the main domain, e.g. subdomain.domain.com.

WordPress can be installed in either a subdomain as above or a subdirectory, e.g. domain.com/blog.

If you opt for a subdirectory, here's the info from the Codex that may prove useful.

Hope that helps :)
