Hi, My Mac is less than osx 10.6 and I can't download this version. Is there a different text editor I can download that is about the same? Thank you, Liat

6,143 PointsYou won't find the same slick and nifty feature set as sublime text. There are some good options available. Imo. Coffee Cup editor...look for the free 30 day trial. There is TextWrangler as well. Incidentally, have you tried to download sublime 3?

322 PointsThanks Paul for your information. If I can't download sublime 2 how can I download sublime 3?
Gunjeet Hattar
14,483 Pointsunfortunately sublime Text 3 requires Mac Os 10.7 updwards

14,483 PointsWell you could always use the textedit . It might not be as good as sublime but then while learning it might be the apt choice. You can always upgrade to a more sophisticated editor later when you want to.
Here is a link with the free and paid options Text Editor Options Mac
Hope it helps

6,143 PointsIts hard to know what the issue is as 10.6 and up is supported. Are you getting an error? In your system preferences under "General" tab - is the "Allowed Apps only for Mac and identified developers" selected or "Mac App Store only?" Excuse me if I am not addressing your needs. And you may already know this but when you download you may need to open the Download folder and right click the downloaded file and request to "download anyway". Once downloaded, drag the icon into the application file icon. Again, i don't want to assume you have already tried this but just to be sure.

6,143 PointsI didn't see Gunjeet Hattar's reply. He may be right for sublime 3, but the sublime 2.0.2 seem to state okay with 10.6 and up
