'SUDO adduser' Nada!

Hey folks, Not having any joy in the terminal window on my mac.(10.7.5). Am following along with the console videos but when I go to my own Terminal window, It will not allow me to add a user. I am using 'sudo adduser username' to find: 'Command not found'. Can you help? Cheers, Dan:)

OS X shares most of the commands with Linux but the commands related to user accounts are one of the differences.
