General Discussion

Surprised there is no chronological record of activity (courses watched, etc.)

Or am I just not finding it?

I would hope I could go into my profile and see an itemized list of what I've done, by date. Seems like this would be a pretty straghtforward and vital feature to have.

At the top of the Home page there's 3 links - In Progress, Bookmarks and Completed - is that what you are looking for?

Well, that is helpful and I hadn't found it yet... but not exactly.

It seems to be at the whole course level. All it says for me right now is "0 courses completed". Would be nice to see a list of the parts of the courses that I did complete, when, and the points earned for each activity.

Thanks.

You can get a bit of that information by looking at the list of "badges" in your profile. Each badge represent the completion of a course stage, and each shows the date it was acquired.

But as you have only 31 points at the moment, and the "Newbie" badge is worth 30, that would indicate you've only watched one lecture video. Is that correct, or have you done more that's not being reflected?

Correct, I had only watched one video.

Also, when you go to the table of contents for any specific course, the videos/challenges/quizzes you've already done will be shown with a check-mark beside them. It may not say when they were done, but it does give you a more granular progress indication.

Right, thanks for the info. I would still find it very worthwhile to have more detailed info on points earned. I have access through a program that requires a minimum number of points to be earned per calendar month to maintain my status. When I'm nearing the end of the month, I need to know how close I am to meeting that requirement. Obviously, they have a way to examine my progress in that respect, but I don't have access to that ability.

Seems like a straightforward record of points earned is not too much of a feature to expect. But apparently that's not available. I'll try emailing them about it.

Thanks.

If you go to the Points Leaderboard and select "this month", you can see how many points you have accumulated so far this month. That sounds like exactly what you need to know.

But I don't know any way someone else can do that to see yours (unless you happen to be in the top 10), and it resets when the next month begins. So I would guess that at the beginning of each month, your program administrators sample the points values of each student using their profile page. I just looked at yours, and as of today you have 545 points. So they just subtract what they recorded for you in their database for the previous month.
