SyntaxError: app.js: Assigning to rvalue `w` (5:3)

Any idea to pass it?

var button = document.getElementById("makeItRed");
 button.addEventListener('click', () => {

   warning.background-color = red;

Hey jc laurent,

You were very close. The only thing you need to replace is warning.background-color = red with warning.style.backgroundColor = "red" in the button click handler !

This is how it should look:

button.addEventListener('click', () => {
  warning.style.backgroundColor = 'red';

To learn more about this property, check out this website: https://www.w3schools.com/jsref/prop_style_backgroundcolor.asp

Happy Coding!

thks again!
