Tab panel in Photoshop?

Is there a tab panel (text) in Photoshop like in InDesign? My friend use Photoshop to layout his design.

I'm not entirely sure if this is what you're asking, but there is a "type tool" (shortcut "T") the button is a T. In CS6 or CC there is a Typography layout available. In the upper right corner it probably says "Essentials" depending on what you have it set as, if you select Typography it lays out all the leading, kerning, scales, size, etc. Or you can go to "Window > Workspace > Typography.

Will try that out. At the gym now so can't see if that's what I'm looking for.

Photoshop does not have a text tab window :-(
