Tagging

How to you tag someone? Just curious.

Tagging here works similar to Twitter tagging. You simply start with an at sign (@) and start typing a students name and an "autocomplete" feature will help assist find the user you are looking for.

I hope this helps.

Thank you!! :)

I have another question. When you post the question/answer/comment, do you have to leave the @ sign in front of the autocompleted name or do you get rid of it?

Oh never mind I figured it out already :)

Thanks for your help! ~Alex

Glad i could help.

It's helpful when there is a long discussion with multiple students and you'd like to respond to a specific user.

How does one tag a post with the title of the course and the specific video? I notice that many students are able to label their posts according to programming language as well as specific titles of video course and even code challenges.

This feature is done automatically when students request help from the course videos, challenges and quizes, by clicking the Get Help buttons on those pages. This is not something that you can manipulate manually.
