I've been a member for of TreeHouse for a while now and have been enjoying it so much and I feel confident when coding for fun. I want to take the next step and I want to do mobile development as career.
What should the next step be to pursue this?

Treehouse Guest TeacherThe next step is to build an app. Doesn't have to be an original app idea nor does it have to be something outrageous. As long as it is something you have built all by yourself. If you want to consult or get a job as a mobile developer then the first thing they want to see is an app that you have built or code you have written. Bonus points if you release the app to the app store.

3,792 PointsI have been working as a professional android developer for about a year now. What I did to get myself noticed was to have a sample app ready to show employers what i could do. I also comitted time everyday to answering stackoverflow questions to build up a reputation. I walked into the interview showed my app and walked out with a job and have been happy with my career ever since :D
