642 PointsTeamTreeHouse regular vs TechDegree?
Hey guys, I am little confused.
I have just started TeamTreeHouse, I'm loving it! I am a complete beginner.
I was just wondering, as I did not even know what about TechDegree, whats the difference between that and the stacks that are offered with the normal monthly subscription?
Is the content more difficult with TechDegrees?
Should I complete the regular stacks that are covered on the monthly subscription, and then engage in a tech degree?
Will the regular subscription help me get a job?
Thank you

The regular and the techdegree are more or less the same! you still have all the same courses to learn from but the only difference with the techdegree is that you are getting 12 projects to work on and each of them will be marked by someone, in addition you will also get an hour of mentoring every month to help you with any issues you may have. I personally didn't like the techdegree because I thought it was alot of money for what it is. And ive decided to work through the courses I want first and get the knowledge and then do the techdegree afterwards for the projects and mentoring for a month or two.
The regular subscription will get you a job! I got an apprenticeship through treehouse and all the courses helped me to get it! The reason I got an apprenticeship though is because i'm legally too young to get a full time job (I'm only 17) so.
But the regular course is just fine for learning everything and the techdegree just gives you a little more help to build your portfolio!
I hope this helps! and this is just my opinion of when I had the techdegree.

Also, If did you get a techdegree were they helping you to do also your personal projects according to your portfolios or was it just basic lectured websites according to some pattern ?

Treehouse courses are great and we have so many students who have achieved their dreams using them. However, the Techdegree takes our top rated content and extends that experience with additional services available exclusively to the program, for example, 12 customizable projects to build a professional portfolio, a final proctored exam, and a certification for those who pass. If you have any additional questions about the Techdegree program and the plans we have available, please contact our support team at help@teamtreehouse.com!
