General Discussion

TechDegree

So, I have been currently studying android development for about a couple of months. However, I don't feel like I have good command over the Android studio. Honestly, I can't really know if I'm on the right track as I didn't test my skills. Solving code challenges and following up with videos comes easy but I think I need more practice.

So, I was wondering can the techdegree program provide what I need or I'll be just wasting money?

I would appreciate any feedback.

P.S. I don't really care about the degree itself I wanna know if the program will help me learn better.

Hey Moustafa!

If what you need is more practice, then the TechDegree will definitely provide that! Unlike the Android track, the Android TechDegree contains 12 real-world projects that you complete all on your own -- which is a ton of practice! And once you've completed a project, it gets reviewed to make sure that you've really accomplished and understood all the concepts covered by that project.

Also, just fyi, the TechDegree starts off with teaching you the requisite Java skills (2 projects) to get you ready to move on to Android (10 projects). It looks like you've already done a bunch of Java, so if you do decide to do the TechDegree, just know that you'll need to breeze past the Java stuff before you get to the Android content.

All in all, if you're feeling like you don't have a good grasp of Android or Android Studio, I think the TechDegree would be an excellent choice to give yourself the extra practice you're looking for!

Cheers! Ben
