Techdegree certification and job opportunities

Hello, I'm new to Treehouse and I find it a very appealing choice for professional skills seekers, especially the Techdegree track, but what seized me most is the "job opportunities", how likely I am to get a job after I finish a Techdegree track ? , and what will I put on my CV in terms of certification and diploma ?, is a Techdegree certifications accredited or trusted by employers ?.

Best Regards

YAAQOUB KEDDAOUI.

This is something that I was also curious about as well.

Taken from the Techdegree page

"Does a Techdegree guarantee me a job? Do you reimburse me if I don’t get a job after I graduate? No. Like many educational establishments, we believe the skills and attitude a student gains will ultimately secure them a job, not the degree itself. This is why we focus on providing students with high-quality courses that set them up for success. While some online schools advertise job guarantees, what they don’t mention is these roles are often at predetermined companies in specific locations. We want to help people find better tech jobs and fill openings where they live and in their own communities, not just train people to work in Silicon Valley or for a specific company."

"Is your program accredited? A Treehouse Techdegree is not associated with higher education accreditation. By earning a Techdegree, you are certified by Treehouse that you have completed the program, and have learned the technical foundation in your chosen topic. In addition the portfolio of 12 projects you build, and the results of your proctored final exam are validation you can share with potential employers."

In my opinion what you gain from the Techdegree program, besides the knowledge, is a wide portfolio of projects and a cerification that you can show future employers. No, a certificated doesn't guarantee you a job but if you follow the program then you will earn enough knowledge to land a job.

This didn't really answer the question though, What will differentiate Me with a Techdegree from a Graduate with a Bachelors degree to a potential employer? Treehouse has been a wonderful learning experience but How does a portfolio Help me get through the web filters on Job applications? Tech certifications while expensive at least have the name recognition and trust of potential employers. Why would i spend up to $2400 on a techdegree when Getting CCNA Cost significantly less and Could net me a career making up to $90k a year? I know you can't guarantee jobs, but If i spend the money on a techdegree, will i be employable? I'm not trying to be Difficult, I have been through Tech Programs before (ITT) and it was a disaster ending with No Employable degree and close to $35k in debt....
