TechDegree Mentors

Hi everyone! I am kind of interested in subscribing to a techdegree course but before upgrading I definitely need more information. The course costs a lot (especially if compared to courses like on udacity) , I cannot information about these things:

  • I read that you have 2 session of 30minutes with a mentor, is this for single project (so you can use this possibility 12 times, once for every project) or for the whole techdegree?
  • it appears that the minimum term to complete a techdegree is 6 months. What happens if I am capable of finish it in 4 months for example?
  • I read that you have the possibility to submit code every 2 weeks and then it will be reviewed. I also read though that I can re-submit a correct version of the same code 1 day after that. Will then the code be reviewed again? How often the code can be reviewed?

Hi Natale,

Thanks for dropping a line and expressing your interest in the Techdegree program. I'm going to address your questions in the order you asked them below:

  • You will receive two 30 minute sessions with a mentor throughout the duration of your Techdegree.

  • You can submit a project in for review every 2 weeks, which makes for a minimum of 6 months to complete your Techdegree.

  • Assuming you submitted a project and it didn't receive a passing grade, you can resubmit your project again after 24 hours to have it reviewed it again. With the 2 week wait on new project submissions, it's very good practice to ask other students (via Slack) to peer-review your project before submission.

I still don't understand what this means. 2 sessions each week or 2 sessions for the WHOLE Techdegree?

Said like that it appears to be 2 sessions for the whole course. I seriously hope it is not like that, i could never afford that kind of money for just two sessions in 6 months. Two sessions a week on the other hand would make the techdegree a valid choice compared to what the market offers.

Let's wait for an official reply.
