Terminal password

Every time I try to install homebrew, the Terminal asks for my password. When I enter my icloud password, the Terminal returns "Sorry, try again." How do I find out my Terminal password?

Hi Sally,

Please try entering the password you use to log on to your computer. If you do not use a password to log in, then I believe you have to go to user settings and create one. You also need to make sure that the user account on your computer has administrator level access on your computer.

I'm still newer to terminal, so someone might come on here and give you better information, but give it a shot and see if that works for you.

Best of luck!

-Mike

Indeed, my normal login was my icloud password, which did not register for the Terminal. I had to create another password just for this case.

Thanks so much for your help!

Sally
