Testing webpage on multiple devices

working on a personal web page, and everything scales and looks nice in the browser, but when I use Googles dev tools to view as different devices i get this weird white bar along the right side of my page and everything is off....

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

You might want to add a link to your website as that will make it easier for people to help.

Thanks Neil, I thought about that except, my site is just locally hosted at the moment....any tips?

You might consider posting the HTML and CSS on something like http://codepen.io for just one of the primary pages that has the problem and then share that link so we can review it.

Thank you guys! I feel like an idiot, as I was copying my code I realized I had a typo in my first media query. I was literally losing my mind over this!

So Benjamin, does that mean it was your typo that was causing the issue and now everything is working for you?

That's great news! I'm glad that worked out.

You were asking if I had suggestions on hosting? I'd say yeah host your stuff somewhere public, IMO. Hosting is cheap especially if you look at alternatives such as hosting a website with github pages. In addition, I noticed that the Team Treehouse student perks include some really good values on hosting.
