testing websites in other browsers

Something I never gave any thought to until now is testing your work in other browsers. I have a windows computer and use chrome as my browser.

How would you test your work for people that use apple/ safari??

You can download Virtual Drive and run MacOS on that. So you will be able to test everything on Safari.

There are also some online options:

http://browsershots.org/ → allows you to queue-up screenshots from various browser/OS combos

https://www.browserstack.com/ → also allows you to queue-up screenshots from various browser/OS combos, has a live option

https://www.browserling.com/ → live browser testing

There are lots of other options, but those ones are (or are mostly) free.

The trouble is that you typically have to queue, so it might be time for a bathroom break, drink, or dance-off while they run.
