2,382 PointsText contrast in html and css code editor is very hard to read, or is it just me?
Hi all,
I would have sent this as feedback direct to tree house, but I'm wondering if it's just me or if anyone else thinks the same?
I'm working through the 'How to Make a Website' course at the moment and in the code challenges I find the initial text before it gets syntactically highlighted is incredibly difficult to read.
It's not until the word has reached a point where it can be highlighted and recognized as valid html or css that it changes colour and I can clearly see what I've written.
Similarly with the line numbers. They're both a lightish gray against a dark gray, but not really light enough to be easy to read.
This makes it very difficult and frustrating to work with when trying to spell longer words.
I'm using a pretty decent Dell U2515H, so I don't think it's my monitor, and desktop code editors are fine.
Anyone else find this?
PS - That aside, I'm really enjoying the code editor and code challenges in general, they seem quite well implemented :)

1,614 PointsI would have to agree with you in that I am also having a few issues with the code challenges. Prior to going into any significant detail on my issue I thought I would give you an easy work around. Write the line(s) of code withing the workspace where it is easily read and copy/paste into the challenge.
The issue I am having is that when the code challenge takes up quite alot of space I have to scroll down to where I need to type however when the top of the challenge box is not in full view I am unable to input anything meaning I have to go back to the top and use the arrow keys to navigate around so I can input. Don't get me wrong other than this rather insignificant issue treehouse has shown to be an excellent tool/platform for learning. 5 stars.

2,382 PointsI sent a support ticket regarding this and apparently they're aware of the color issue. Compared to the dark mode in Brackets, which I'm using at the moment the color contrast on the Treehouse editor isn't great. I don't have that issue with brackets.

Thank you very much for writing and providing us this feedback about the color template. It's a suggestion we've heard before and our developers are aware of it. I can share there have been discussions about it, though I can't guarantee any changes are imminent. I'll forward your suggestion to my team. Thanks again very much for sharing it with us.

3,481 PointsApparently this has never been addressed. I am having a very difficult time reading and responding to challenges because of it. I love this site, but until this changes, I won't be staying as a long term client after I finish the tasks I am working on for the bootcamp I am in. Such a shame too, because I enjoy the classes here.
