Courses Plus Student 46,022 PointsHe's using Sublime Text 2, which is what a lot of the other Treehouse teachers use. You can download it and try it out for free at the link above.
I believe Nick posted about text editors awhile back on the Treehouse Blog. You can find a lot more about all the different text editors available in his post. There's dozens and dozens of good ones out there.

Courses Plus Student 46,022 PointsOh, no. I haven't finished the Rails courses, the business courses, or the mobile development courses. XD
All it takes is time and work. And after I finish a course, I find that I need to go through a couple projects before I'm truly ready to do it on my own. I had to watch the WordPress theme courses three times all the way through before I really was able to do it on my own. Now, though, I can get a pretty rough design done for a small site in a couple hours and transfer it to a WordPress theme in another hour or two.
While I have a lot of Ruby points, I don't have much actual experience with Rails, and especially with the logical and testing sides to it. It's similar with iOS and Android.
