Text editor application for Mac: which one have you found to be most helpful?

I have been moving along the Web Development path and loving it. Although, I am running into errors with WorkSpaces. After coding along with Nick, then double and triple evaluation of my code to ensure correct syntax, I am still left with a non-responsive “Preview” through WorkSpace.

What Text Editor have you found to be most helpful for your web development on Mac?

Thank you for all your responses.

Brackets gives you a live preview, so you don't have to keep going back and forth between editor and browser. You need chrome however.

But my favourite is still workspaces, because its too much work downloading project files, opening in editor and getting everything set up etc. In workspaces, it is all already set up, which is very convenient. :)

Thank you for your response.
