Hi Yusuf,

Another option is Sublime Text. It's the editor many of the instructors here at Treehouse use and I love it. It is free to use but the author would like U.S.$70.00 for it. I'm sure if you choose to continue this journey you will also fall in love with Sublime Text.

textmate is only for mac users but you can have a look at NotePad ++ .. which is customizable and is free

NotePad++ is a great Windows solution, but so is SublimeText. SublimeText does 'ask' for you to purchase a license, but according to the website (and personal experience) "There is currently no enforced time limit for the evaluation."
