8,069 PointsThank you
I just wanted to say thank you to all people here at Treehouse. Specially the teachers who taught me the things I needed to land my first job as a Junior Designer at a Startup Company, here at Rio de Janeiro.
I was hoping I could say this after I'd finished the Web Design track, but I've been so busy at work (wich I'm glad!) that I'd be pushing this thank you note forever, so I'm just saying now.
Guil and Nick were tremendously important teachers while I was learning the foundation topics. Without these guys I wouldn't be where I am now. Even though I don't write code everyday, almost all my Design decisions in the company are influenced by what I've learned about HTML and CSS. And not just that, but I also get to help the engineers when they need help with specifics on the front end.
Special thanks to Mat Helme. With his Design courses under my belt I got the confidence and knowledge I needed to change the brand identity of the company I work now, entirely.
And of course, I couldn't let Ryan out of this simples thank you note. His quick replies on email have left me surprised and impressed. Where in the world a busy CEO of an awesome company would take the time to respond an email with such enthusiasm? It's really nice to see.
Anyway, maybe I could sum that up in: It took me around 6 months to get a job and work with something I love. And I couldn't be happier. I hope this message serve as an inspiration for new students arriving at Treehouse now.
Thanks and keep on learning!

28,736 PointsGlad to hear you 've got a job as a designer. I'm sure Nick Pettit , Guil Hernandez , Ryan Carson and Mat Helme will be once again quite happy to know that their daily job helps passionate and motivated people like you to get a job in a field they like!
Finally, even If I've already congratulated in the past Treehouse, I would like to mention that I also have learnt plenty of things around here. Thanks to that knowledge learnt, approximately 2 months ago I passed a test to get a job as Junior front-end developer and I succeeded. To be honest with everyone, I followed as well some evening classes to become web developer during two years, but I was so much disapointed by the level of most classrooms that I decided to find an alternative, this alternative was Treehouse and some others projects to sharpen my skills.
To sum up, Treehouse has contributed a lot in this success. Because after working during 5.7 years as a Helpdesk (that was honestly the hell) my professional life has changed.
I'm not the kind of person who talks about Its personal life in public, but I think Treehouse must know that what they do really help people (not only in USA, everywhere in the world), even if they already have good examples.
So THANK YOU to all the teachers and the team :) !
