Unsure why I'm receiving map was not used when I have?

app.js
const daysOfWeek = ["Sunday", "Monday", "Tuesday", "Wednesday", "Thursday", "Friday", "Saturday"];
let abbreviatedDays;

// abbreviatedDays should be: ["Sun", "Mon", "Tue", "Wed", "Thu", "Fri", "Sat"]
// Write your code below

let abbreviatedWords = daysOfWeek.map(day => day.slice(0,3));
abbreviatedDays = abbreviatedWords;

1 Answer

You are doing more than asked by creating the abbreviatedWords variable. The challenge asks: Store the new array in the variable abbreviatedDays. If you do just that you will pass.
