The DOM

I am curious to know, Why would you use the DOM, instead of making changes to the CSS(styling)?

If you mean using JavaScript to make changes to the styling of a page; we use it mainly for interactivity. For example on a click event you might want an image to get larger or change its border radius. For anything else , use only css for the 'permanent' styling of a page.
