The meaning of ' ' in PHP

Why use 'catalog.php' instead of catalog.php ---PHP

echo "<a href='catalog.php'>Full Catalog</a> $gt;"

Tran, for HTML attributes to validate the value must be inside quotation marks. For example: src="apple.png", href="www.google.com", class="group", etc.

However, if the HTML you want to echo is already inside double quotation marks, then you need to switch to single quotation marks, as in your example: echo "<a href='catalog.php'>Full Catalog</a>";
