The challenge is asking to write hello followed up by the name parameter that the function receives, in the code you wrote you are just returning "hello". The code has to return ("hello ") combined with the name parameter. Hope this helps !

The code has to return Hello + the name.

You have to concatenate the hello with the name parameter.

def hello_student (name): greet = 'Hello '+ name return greet
