The rewrite rule: add a trailing slash problem

Hello,

I got problem with the add a trailing slash on my .htaccess file.

The code on tutorial is "RewriteRule ^(shirts/[0-9]+)$ /$1/ [R=301]", I use the same code but it was not working.

My file structure is: htdocs/Shop/.htaccess

I think the problem occurs because my file structure is different from Randy's. But I don't know how to modify that code.

I have another question: how to change contact/?status=thanks to contact/thanks

Please help!
