The Student Record Search Challenge

I'm just getting the directions and sitting down to work on it. Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this challenge? My head is spinning. Thank you.

Is there any thing in particular that is stumping you? My suggestion would be to try breaking the problem down into smaller problems and then work on the problems that seem straight forward first.
