The texts inside my gallery are underlined.

I understand that these are links, but how can we remove the underlines?

I think the video should get around to that eventually. You need a selector that hits the anchors. Maybe something like

li a {
    text-decoration: none;
}

this might not be specific enough if there are instances where anchors in li should have underlines. eg.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<style>
#gallery li a {
    text-decoration: none;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>

<a href="g">This is heading 1</a>

<ul id="gallery">
    <li><a href="g">Link is not underlined</a></li>
</ul>

<ul>
    <li><a href="g">This is heading 1</a></li>
</ul>
</body>
</html>
