I am getting this strange error saying

The value of the text input has not been stored in 'linkName'

whereas there isn't any linkName in Challenge 1 of 2. Is it a bug or am i Missing something?

let inputValue = document.querySelector("input.value");
<!DOCTYPE html>
        <title>DOM Manipulation</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
        <div id="content">
            <label>Link Name:</label>
            <input type="text" id="linkName">
            <a id="link" href="https://teamtreehouse.com"></a>
        <script src="app.js"></script>

The input type has an id of linkName. Try adding that to your input value.

Todd's right. If you look at the HTML, the input you're working with has an ID attribute of 'linkName'. This allows you to use querySelector to target that input, then add .value to retrieve the value from it.

let inputValue = document.querySelector('#linkName').value;

The question is misleading coz it doesn't say anything about #linkName
