7,625 PointsWe are indeed adding Java as a topic area. New teacher Craig Dennis will be starting with the fundamentals of Java, to the benefit of both Android and Java students, but our intent is to start exploring Java web development and other Java related topics.

There isn't yet, but it will show up in the roadmap once we're far enough along to have a date figured out.

13,708 PointsThis is a new section I think. Java for web and Java for mobile are different so I assumed this was a new course communing up for Java web. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Craig Dennis
Treehouse TeacherHi Robert,
We are going to start with Java Basics which will be relevant to both our Android content and our future Java track. We do have plans on heading towards Java Web development, as well as all and anything Java, driven by what is needed.
Looking forward to getting things out there.
