I was 2/3 of the way done with one of their "tasks" and it asked me if i wanted to start discussion. So I thought if I went to the discussion that maybe it would help me with the task that was on. BUT NO! IT DELETED ALL OF MY WORK. THIS WEBSITE SUCKS!

MOD EDIT: Inappropriate remarks were removed

Chad Wright I understand you are frustrated with the site, but in the future please refrain from using language that might offend other users. We are here to help and support you. As a piece of advice, once you start making your own websites, you are likely going to run into much more complicated problems you will have to solve on your own. If you get frustrated and talk like that to people elsewhere, it's going to be hard to get help. There has been many days I've wanted to just disconnect my monitor and throw it out the window out of sheer frustration, but I have to just tell myself that it won't help. Or other times I've been on the phone with support people that make me want to jump through the phone. Do your best to stay calm and professional.

You should probably calm down a bit. Using harsh language definitely isnt the way to get your problems resolved.

Clicking the start discussion link opens up a pop up that allows you to create a forum post. Once you create that post you navigate away from the challenge and are taken to your post. I assume thats what you did correct? Sorry you lost your work, thats just what happens when you navigate away from the code challenge. The code challenge really does not require that much code so it shouldnt take you too long to get back to where you were.

You could contact support and voice your concern about the challenges losing your work when you navigate away as well. Its a valid criticism and its frustrating when that happens.

This is so inappropriate! I don't know about other Treehouse members, but I don't want to see these kind of remarks in the forum. Someone needs to learn a little about tact when posting a response if they are frustrated.

Hi Chad. I'm sorry to hear some of your work was lost, I too would definitely be frustrated with that but venting about it in this way is inappropriate and violates our terms. Reach out out to us at help@teamtreehouse.com if you run into such troubles again and we can help you troubleshoot the issue. Thanks!

If its a long project you should probably just use a text editor. Team Treehouse can't control the way the internet works. If you click away from a page then you will inevitably be led away from the page you are on. I'm sure you know all of this, but it's plain to see you're looking to get attention.

Chad Wright Hey bud, what I do when I can is you open up a workspace when I have a lengthy set of code challenges. that way its in a new window and I have my code safe if I need it.

Sorry guys, it won't happen again.
