19,866 PointsHey Gregor, from what I understand table used to be the defacto layout technology before things like floats, flexbox, etc became available in more recent iterations of CSS. I believe the age of some of these tutorials may also be showing also. Tables should only be used for displaying data and not for layout as of CSS3 and you are right tables as layout is considered bad practice nowadays.
