time data '15-9-24' error

I am getting this error in this challenge

timestrings.py 
## Examples
# to_string(datetime_object) => "24 September 2012"
# from_string("09/24/12 18:30", "%m/%d/%y %H:%M") => datetime

import datetime

def to_string(datetime):
    datetime = datetime.strftime("%d %B %Y")
    return datetime

def from_string(day1, day1_string):
    day1 = datetime.datetime.strptime(day1, '15 9 24')
    return day1

The method should not use a fixed literal string. Instead, it should use the format argument that was passed in.
