Time for Django?

Hello folks:

I am a great fan or Treehouse because it teaches you those tricks you will otherwise only learn with hours and hours of experience.

Now I am onto a new project in which I will have to build it on my own. As far as I see, the Ruby on Rails tracks seems to have all the ingredients for learning how to develop my project from zero almost to 100%: setting up, programming, testing and best practices.

But talking to many friends all of them recommend me to learn Django since is the fastest way to build websites and it is supported both by Heroku and Google App Engine.

I went over some basic tutorials of ruby, python and javascript and I have to say I absolutely love python. It's simplicity is great! And I have gone over some job offers like Google's and they are asking for python so that would be another good reason to learn Django.

I would like to know if there is any plan for building a Django track and also if my appreciations are correct. I am no pro in this and I feel quite lost towards building my first application from zero.

Thanks!

We definitely plan to teach Python and Django in the future, but we have no concrete plans to announce at this time. Trust me, we want it just as bad as you do! It's just a matter of running our business responsibly and hiring when the time is right. We'll get there. :)
