For viewing json data, Instructor is suggesting using a jsonprettyprint.com However, it is way easier, and will save you lots of time in the future, to simply install JSONview extension on chrome browser and it will automatically display all your json data in an understandable, structured way.
If you are using firefox or some other browser, look up for a similar plugin, i'm sure it would exist. If not you could write one for your next project ;)
