With following code I get error message to take care that the first argument is "this" ...but it is!!
... Toast allDoneToast= new Toast(); allDoneToast.makeText(this , "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); ...

is a static class method so you don't call it on the instance:
Toast allDoneToast = Toast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG);
allDoneToast.show();
