I would like to suggest that android app had the 2X video speed since I find most 1X to be very very slow... I would use it often if I had this option.
I also have an iPad1 and iPhone4 but unfortunatelly treehouse doesn't have an app for those :(

13,116 PointsTreehouse has an app for iPad, I am not sure if it will work for you but check this iPad. Sometimes I wish they was 2.5-3x speed as 2x sometimes is slow for me.

30,286 Pointsgloria thanks but it isn't compatible for iPad1 :( Lol so far 2x is good for me in most of the videos despite some concept repetition such as strings, integers, and so on in each language when most of the times there is no difference or very little difference

13,116 PointsAww, that's bad that it is not compatible. I hope they add more speed options to the android one then so you can use that more often.

Treehouse Moderator 91,254 PointsHello Ivo.
Maybe you could contact Treehouse support with this issue as if the video is slow as this it might be some sort of bug.
I can't think of a reason your videos on Android would run slower than on the website. That aside, being able to change video speed on Android as you can here would be a cool feature, :)
Jonathan!

30,286 PointsJonathan Grieve I'm talking about the Android App not the website. Yes I think I will try to contact the support about this

Yes I was meaning the videos on your Android App. Let us know what support say about it if you can! :-)

Yes, unfortunately, the Treehouse Android app does not currently support other video playback speeds. It's a feature I wanted and tried to add to our video player, but there's sadly not good support for changing video playback rate in Android right now.
I agree though; this is a really useful feature that is missing and I'm hoping that I can revisit this feature someday in the future and look at adding a more custom video player that would allow this.

30,286 PointsGreat :) Hope you guys can improve this feature soon. It will be really useful.

718 Pointsyou guys may want to check with lynda. they have an android app which allows you to speed up their videos. Im finding the app no use to me because normal speed is too slow to get anything done. i do most of my learning on the go so being able to increase the speed of videos on the app is critical to my learning needs. if this is not a feature you will be adding to the app, I will most likely have to return to lynda.

718 PointsThis comment is orginally from 2014. This is discouraging, If you haven't been able to add this feature given 3 years it seems unlikely you will be able to in the next two weeks.

30,286 PointsI gave up on treehouse because I felt there was no evolution and it was very expensive for what I was getting in return. It's great to get started but at a point I feel it's very stagnant. I love the platform overall but after awhile everything is more of the same: php, python, javascript, ruby, and so on... always focusing on the basics. Many of the basics are almost the same from language to language. I am impressed they didn't improve the app but well... codeschool is much better in terms of platform and contents and they also have a very bad app so.... I guess there is still space on the market for something else :)
