7,022 PointsTreehouse Certification Program
At the beginning of the month, I logged in to my Treehouse account and saw a banner at the top of the screen offering me to try out a new Treehouse certification program in beta testing for $99/mo. before it was increased to $199/mo. at general release. I no longer see it, but did anyone else receive a similar offer or know anything about this program or when it's supposed to launch?
Thanks,
Ronan Cleary

231,110 PointsI didn't get a notice myself, but I understand that the Beta program is already underway and the initial offer period has elapsed.
A Treehouse staff member told me "We expect a general release for the Techdegree by the end of March, if not sooner."

5,527 PointsAhhh HA! I was wondering about that. I thought my mind had been playing tricks on me the other day. Looking forward to finding more info about that when it becomes available.

9,901 PointsI just signed up for the Beta program yesterday & was charged $99, so they may still have some spots open. I also got started right away, so it's already launched. :)

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 36,165 PointsI have submitted the "CSS to Sass" project about 5 days ago and i didn't get any feedback until now. I have worked through the other videos but I can not work on other projects because I can't see the details so long as one project is submitted. So I'm blocked until I get the feedback on the submitted project.

Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 10,628 PointsI just signed up last Sunday. To those interested, you can probably still grab a seat at that early bird promo by visiting the link https://teamtreehouse.com/get-a-techdegree. This should give you a rundown of what to expect.

17,276 PointsI don't understand how people are getting info on tech-degree yet if you email support asking for info they tell you there's nothing to share(not even the link you posted). So confused.

1,517 PointsHow does the tech degree even work? Would it even hold the same value as a degree? In addition, Would certification programs mean that we would have to redo the tracks we've done before even though we've been learning tracks while paying money?

1,228 PointsI was given the chance to join the beta a month or so back. I sat on it for a while to look more into it and see if it was worth the initial $99.00 a month ($199.00 a month was the normal non-beta price). When I finally decided that I was going to join (which was only a few weeks later) they were no longer accepting applicants. Today I signed in and received a message allowing me to join again for the beta, only this time it's $399.00 a month! That is a huge jump in price even from the original non-beta price of $199.00 a month. I was struggling at first to see myself paying $199 monthly, but $399 a month? That's double the price and it's still not live yet. I need more info on the program before joining, like will this "tech-degree" even help land me a job? I know the skills I learn will, but I can gain those skills by paying $30 a month.

2,416 PointsI was also offered the techdegree at $99 in the early bird promo. At the time, I was struggling with money, and I thought that March would offer a better chance to join. Today I i saw a new offer banner across my screen, offering the program at $399 a month. I have screenshots of the banners on my computer through March. The program was priced at $99, $199, and now $399. I'm sorry Treehouse: I am not able to afford $399. That more than the rent I pay. I am working very hard to become a web developer so that I can have a better future, but $399 a month is hard to swallow when I don't have that career yet. I think your pricing is out of reach for people who are working to improve themselves, especially when we don't have any idea how the "techdegree" will reflect in the larger world.
