Treehouse collaboration

Hey everyone, I joined treehouse a few weeks ago, and am obviously very new to coding. That being said, I am committed to using treehouse to gain enough knowledge to make web development a realistic career goal in the near future. One of my main concerns is at some point later on, I think it would be great to learn how to work on a team, and collaborate on projects with other students.

Though I don't know if it is realistic, or even a good idea, here's what I think would be cool;

-One member with a certain amount of badges and points would secure a public meeting place in their area, and start a team for other locals to join.

-each team would have an allotted amount of time to create an original project.

-after each session, treehouse would pick from the best of the projects and feature them on their site.

-It would also be cool if treehouse could provide some sort of environment that each team could collaborate on.

like I said I'm not sure if this is a great idea, or if something like this already exists (which would be sweet), but I thought it was worth throwing out there. If anyone is interested in maybe getting something like this organized in the Portland area, or know of something that already exists please let me know.

Hey Cooper, I think this is a great idea but something that would most likely need to be solely organized by students. And maybe if such a project were to happen Treehouse would share it on their blog, but aside from that I think Treehouse has their hands full at the moment.

I know Portland has a lot of stuff going on but there isn't anything Treehouse specific that I know of. I'm in Portland and interested in your idea though!
