treehouse console will not load

Trying to launch treehouse console from Git Basics "Working With Git Repositories" video and the "We are setting up your computer" status keeps cycling and never completes.

Using google chrome Version 46.0.2490.71 (64-bit) on Mac osx 10.10.5

I also restarted my system and tried to load the console from firefox and chrome again. I ran into the same problem.
