Hello Again Students!
We'll be conducting another maintenance window tonight to move our database to a new hosting provider beginning at 11pm EST. We expect this move to take us a few hours and sincerely appreciate your patience.
Update: And we're back! We had to temporarily disable the notifications system after the data move and we're investigating further. It should be back up very soon!

9,771 PointsHi from New Zealand. The times you guys use for maintenance is evening time over here - often the only time of the day I can use Treehouse due to work and family commitments etc.. Maybe you could consider alternating the times a bit so it's not the same every time? I think this is the third time lately I'll be unable to login :(

294 PointsHi Oliver. We could definitely look at doing that for future maintenance windows so I'll ask the team. Picking a 'right time' is pretty hard since we're globally available. No matter when we take the site down, we'll affect someone. Much of the decision weighs against the larger portion of our users, which are on the western side of the hemisphere so a night-time window makes sense for them, but obviously affects you and we're really sorry its causing you problems. This should be the last of the big downtime windows for a while. We've been moving a lot of our site over to a new hosting company to help improve our site speed and give us more room to grow.

30,286 PointsOliver Gibbs you can always try to pick some lessons before and download them all to iTunes. Note that you don't need to watch the videos in anything related to apple. It's just super easy to download them all to iTunes and then watch on your favorite player. Of course you will have to note down what you did and later open treehouse to mark the videos as watched (you have to open each individually unfortunatelly) and pass the quizzes. Alternatively you can download each video individually but I recommend iTunes since it's much faster.

5,794 PointsThe time windows chosen are inconvenient in the Western Hemisphere too. On the West Coast, the site's down from 8pm, which is prime time for people studying in the evenings after work. It's a bit short notice too; it's the 2nd time I've had a study session planned and logged on to find the site is about to go down for the rest of the night. But thanks for making the site more awesome!

2,837 PointsMost of my Itunes feeds still say "treehouse is down for Maintenance!", i know that you have completed maintenance, what do you advise. Some of them had "treehouse is down for Maintenance!" but were able to get the original label back, but most of them sill have the "treehouse is down for Maintenance!"
