Treehouse, Heartbleed, and You!

Hi all!

Just wanted to drop a quick note to let everyone know our status and response to the Heartbleed OpenSSL bug.

Happily, our site was not running an affected version of OpenSSL at the time of the vulnerability disclosure, nor had we been for a year or so before the issue was discovered. It's unknown whether the OpenSSL version in use before we had migrated to our current service provider was affected, though, so we decided to play it safe by re-generating our SSL keys and certs, and having the old certificate revoked.

Though there is currently no reason to believe that we were impacted, we did want to take this opportunity to remind everyone that periodically changing your passwords, and using different passwords for every site is strongly encouraged for safe internet use.

To update your Treehouse password, you can click on the "Change Password" button in your account settings.
