TREEHOUSE!!! My treehouse videos aren't playing correctly please can treehouse fix this!! :D

Hi haven't been able to play any Treehouse tutorials on my laptop for a long time now, as there is something wrong with the videos and how they play. They are really reeaalllyyy slow. I know it's not my laptop, as I have tried it on other laptops and computers. They play fine on my phone and tablet so i have been playing them on there, but i would really like to be able to play them on my laptop again. Please can someone from Treehouse check this out. Thank you!!!!! :D

Hi Amber,

If you could give the following information;

  1. Operating System?
  2. Browser?
  3. Private home network VPN or domain?

We (or just me) could try to recreate the issue to see if it occurs only when specific conditions are met, or it is a local issue with your laptops/network.

By the way, define: "Slow" - keeps on buffering and playing only for a few seconds? Or the video drops frame rates?

By slow i mean the video drops frame rates, they play is really slow motion, i have had the problem for a about 4 months i just started using my tablet and phone as they work fine on them. i have recently brought a new apple macbook air, like in the last 3 weeks. Before that ive been using my samsung window 10 laptop, i have always used chrome and i have now tried it in 4 different browsers and it does the same thing. I did some work experience about 3 months ago at a web development company and i tried to play a video on there computer and i had the same thing happy. sorry but how do i find out my network vpn ? Thank you for getting back to me so quickly :D hopefully we can sort this as i would be able to study so much more easily if i didnt have to use another device to play your videos. :D Love Tree house by the way, the videos are amazing and im hope very much i can message tree house and thank you all as ive started a career in web development :D

Hey Amber,

Don't worry about the VPN, if you don't know it, means you're not using one. :) This may seem silly but I want to check this with you; is your video speed set to 1x ? Once it is below 1x speed this setting will be saved to your account and that can cause the drop of frames for your videos.

Please check this and get back here with results.
