Treehouse Site is built in Ruby? If not, in what?

Hi,

I really like Treehouse's website but I'm wondering how it was made.

Ruby? WordPress?

I really would like to learn how to build a website like this.

Thanks in advance, Pedro Henrique

Hey Pedro Henrique

Our main application is written with Ruby on Rails, but we have services (like Workspaces) written in Ruby, Golang, and Code Challenge implementations written in their native languages (e.g., Java, Python, Objective C, Javascript, PHP). All of the JavaScript powering the site is written in CoffeeScript and our CSS is written in Sass.

We have a team of 26 developers and 10 designers working four days a week on this application to make sure everyone enjoys it, so don't feel bad if it seems like building something of this scale seems out of reach!

Thanks for being a student :zap:

Kyle,

Wow! Thanks for replying with a high-detailed message. This is what makes Treehouse different, you are always over-satisfying my expectations (don't know if I wrote that right.).

Thanks a lot for you feedback.

Best whishes, Pedro Henrique
