PHP PHP Basics (Retired) PHP Data & Structure PHP Variables

Trying to echo "Mike" to screen with variable set to <?php $name = "Mike"; ?> <php? echo $name?> does not work.

Hi Rick,

The simplest way to echo Mike's name out to the screen is to just add the echo command after you created the $name variable. The challenge doesn't allow you to put HTML elements in there, just yet.

<?php
$name = "Mike";
echo $name;
?>
