TTH insane high memory usage

I'm wondering how and why your site uses insane amounts of memory.

As an example, I have currently 2 tabs open. The one I'm writing this in and another with a code challenge. The code challenge alone uses 2.02 GB of memory!!

My computer also says that firefox uses 5.6 GB of memory right now! This only happens when I'm on TTH for a couple of hours.

And no, I don't have alot of plugins. And the few that I have don't use much memory.

Why? How??

Maybe you got other programms open that takes your RAM?

Nope I have literally only firefox on, well and the system monitor. And it's weird, the first 1-2 hours everything is fine and behaves "normal" and then BAM 5 GB memory usage from firefox.

And I have ubuntu on my PC, if that matters...

I'm not too much experienced in this, but from my experience it can be few things, not always TTH. Last time i deleted some files and i got 80kg of free space. Mostly CSS and PHP, some files.
